From Scientist to Developer

My path into software development didn't begin with a computer science degree, but with curiosity and an online course about the history of the internet. As a biochemistry student at TU Munich, I discovered Python as a tool to automate the analysis of electron microscopy data. During my Master's degree, I shifted my focus to biophysics and dove deeper into structural biology data analysis, but my interest increasingly moved toward software.

After graduating, it wasn't easy to leave biophysics behind. But I followed my interest and started as a software developer at a web agency. A year later, I had developed my first backend REST API with full ownership and delivered it on time, using TDD in close collaboration with the frontend team. In parallel, I continued learning alongside my work, with online courses in modern CSS, JavaScript, and frontend development.

At CHECK24, I deepened my knowledge of Django architecture, database design, and frontend development, in an environment that gave me the space to think independently.

In 2025, I took the step into freelancing, driven by the desire to give my clients what often gets lost in large structures: short communication paths, direct contact, and full focus on their project.

Direct, Personal, Focused

I deliberately chose self-employment because I want to offer my clients the greatest possible value, without agency overhead and unnecessary coordination loops. You work directly with me: an experienced developer who listens and implements pragmatically.

My focus is on small and medium-sized businesses looking for a reliable technical partner. Someone who doesn't just develop, but thinks ahead and advises.

Clarity, Transparency, Results

I work in an agile, transparent way, choosing technologies based on what the project needs, not what's trending. I use modern AI tools to work efficiently and handle project management and communication, so you can keep your head clear for what matters.

Every project starts with a free initial consultation where we discuss your goals and challenges. Then I develop a clear concept with a realistic timeline and transparent pricing.

Beyond the Code

Based in Munich, I work on side projects like Breader, a bookmarking tool that reflects what drives me: making knowledge accessible, preserving the open internet as a space for learning, and placing great value on privacy. Beyond code, I'm interested in what motivates people — how they think, decide, and act. Before I build a solution, I understand the problem.
